Monte S. Angelo
Characteristic centre of the Gargano, 843 metres of altitude, situated in a panoramic position over the lowland and the Manfredonia Gulf.
It is a resort filled with charm and spirituality; it has been a destination of pilgrims and crusaders since the Middle Ages. The Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo (The Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel) is very important, in a cave where between the years 490 and 493 the Archangel appeared to a shepherd.

Vieste
This city lies at the furthest east of the Gargano, a coveted destination of tourists coming from all over Europe.
Its town centre is very old: the first settlement refers to huts and sepulchres dating back to the Third Millennium b.C. Throughout the old town centre, where once there were slums inhabited by Jewish artisans and traders, today there are pretty handicraft shops.
Besides the old town centre, one should also visit the cattedrale romanica (Romanesque Cathedral), built in the second half of the 11th century, about 100 metres away from the Castle.
