Francavilla Fontana
It is defined as the "Cittą degli Imperiali" (City of the Imperials) because of the great castle of the Imperial Enlightened Princes, now seat of the Town Council, characterized by a magnificent balcony, sculptured and still well kept.
There are also many interesting churches, amongst which the Chiesa Matrice (Cathedral) and the very beautiful Chiesa dei Padri Liquorini (Church of the Liquorini Fathers), the historical buildings of the Renaissance and Baroque period.

Mesagne
The historical centre holds traces of the Messapican age, some reminiscences of the Byzantine era, the town planning structure dating back to the 16th century and the architectural and artistic treasures of the Baroque age.
One can admire: the Porta Grande (Great Door), proof of the town wall, with the small towers and the bays; the Chiesa Madre (Mother Church); Piazza Orsini del Balzo (Square) with the castle dating to the Norman period.
Today it could be considered the architectural compendium of the feudal power in a small town of Southern Italy.

Latiano
Of medieval times, not to be missed: the Palazzo Imperiali (Imperial Palace) of medieval origins, which originates as a fortress and becomes a feudal residence and mansion; the Torre Del Solise (Tower) (1528); the Chiesa Matrice Di Santa Maria Della Neve (Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows); the Chiesa Del Santissimo Crocifisso (Church of the Holy Crucifix) (15th century), in which the relics of the Holy Cross and the Holy Thorn of Jesus are kept.
